Jack Myers story is of the rough and tumble in country towns in Victoria and NSW well before TV and when the 'Pub' was the focus of the lives of many families and workers.

He was raised in his father's pub and from the age of just 14 years he worked there instead of acquiring a formal education. Jack had an outstanding intellect, which is revealed in the life he lived.

He overcame physical disability, was a man well before his time, good with numbers, and was not averse to taking risks. He showed his initiative as he excelled in recreational exploits popular in those years. He could also handle himself well if it came to an argument.
